New COMCAST Channel Lineup for Redidence Halls
You Asked for It…You Got It!!!!
On or about November 17, 2009, the COMCAST channel lineup in the residence halls will change to reflect a wider selection of stations, including some new digital stations.
To make sure you can access all of these new stations, you will need to have your TV “re-scan” the full COMCAST channel line-up. Since this process is different for each TV, you may want to check your user guide for your TV or visit the manufacturer’s web site for specific directions. Alternatively, you can invite a “techie” friend over for pizza and a soda and have them help before the next Raven’s game!

WebHelpDesk Upgrade: Wednesday, November 10, 2009
WebHelpDesk will be unavailable for an upgrade on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 6:00 AM through 8:00 AM.
All services are expected to be fully operational before 8:00 AM. Any tickets submitted by e-mail will be queued for intake once the system has been brought back up.

WebXpress Heavy Load – Services Restored

Full service has been restored to WebXpress and technicians will continue to monitor the environment.

Technicians were made aware that several people were having problems loading the WebXpress page.
We are looking into the issue and will post an update as soon as services are fully restored.
WebXpress and Datatel Services Restored Again

Problems are persisting with the Datatel and WebXpress environments and our technicians are wotrking closely with Datatel to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

Technicians have recently been made aware of a Datatel and WebXpress problem were users are being denied logon access.

Password and Login Problems

Due to a hardware failure, some people are experiencing login and password problems across many campus services. Technicians are working with the vendor to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
This issue, while limited to portions of the total number of users, effects many campus services where your single sign-on account is used (Blackboard, WebMail, campus computer logins, eServices, MediaSite, off-campus access to library databases and a handful of other services.)
An update will be posted here when the issue has been resolved.

University Home Page Unavailable
At 7:50 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 23, the Stevenson University home page was reported as unavailable.
We have notified the appropriate staff and action is being taken to resolve the issue with the vendor hosting the site.

Internet Service Outage

One of our Internet Service Providers has lost connectivity to the Internet. Office of Information Technology technicians have taken steps to route some of our traffic through our secondary connection, but the following services are currently not available:
- Incoming mail from outside senders / Outgoing mail to external recipients
All mail is being queued for later delivery once service has been restored. On campus e-mail is flowing properly.
- External access to Blackboard, WebMail and WebXpress (as well as several other web-based services)
We are in contact with the vendor and they are attempting to restore service as soon as possible.

Due to difficulties experienced with the planned upgrade to the new version of Mediasite on July 21, the service is still unavailable.
Technicians are working with the vendor to correct the problems as quickly as possible.
Any course content hosted on the Mediasite server will be unavailable until the service has been restored.
